Hiring a Captain
USCG-licensed captains are available if you would like to let someone else handle the helm so that you can join the party and enjoy all of your time on the water with your guests! A Captain can be hired for the following, and more: July fireworks, sunset or sunrise cruises, dinner trips to Long Island, or just a cruise to “nowhere”. Guided fishing trips are also available. Chartered boats are hired for a two-hour minimum, and commonly range in price $200-to-$350 per hour plus fuel. Please inquire for details.
Entertaining, Night Cruises, Dinner Cruises: Hire a RBC captain and our 300 Sea Ray Sundancer for the charter itinerary of your dreams! Whether you wish to ‘round-trip’ Manhattan, take a pleasant ride over to Long Island for dinner, or just cruise about the Sound and make a stop at your whim, your USCG licensed captain aboard the Club’s Sea Ray300 Sundancer guarantees a relaxing yet exhilarating day on the water in a modern, beautiful boat. Captains also are available for 240 Sundeck or our Boston Whaler 21 Ventura. Please inquire for details.
Rex Boating Club Boats: We currently have Sea Ray 240 Sundeck cruisers and a Boston Whaler 210 Ventura outboard. Both models are similar, being large bow riders that can handle up to 12 people and both feature an enclosed head (bathroom). All RBC boats are fully equipped, including a folding canvas top to offer sun protection, depth finder, VHF radio, GPS unit, stereo/CD player with iPod input, and all required Coast Guard safety equipment. Our Sea Ray 240 Sundeck bowrider is enormously popular for Long Island Sound boating. They have stern drive power, with lots of room for up to 12 people. The cockpit can be rigged with one or two tables and each Sundeck is equipped with a wet bar, showers fore and aft, and a convenient bow ladder to make beach loading and unloading a breeze. Great for tubing, too.
Our Boston Whaler 210 Ventura is a bowrider that seats eight persons comfortably. This industry acclaimed boat features an ultra quiet, supercharged 225 HP Mercury Verado outboard with digital throttle and shifting (DTS). Clearly not your father’s Whaler, or his outboard motor. The 210 Ventura is truly high-tech and high-quality, with the safety and features you expect from Boston Whaler. “King of Clubs” is very comfortable for cruising and perfect for water sports. If you plan to fish, this is also the boat approved for fishing.
Our Sea Ray 300 Sundancer is great for an overnight as well as for day-boating use, and boasts plenty of power with twin Mercruiser engines, a bow thruster for easy docking, and countless comfort and entertainment features both above and below decks.
